While we don’t wish wildlife any harm, we do want to stop some creatures from ravaging our trees, shrubs, flowers and vegetables. Grazers G1 Rabbit, Pigeon & Deer Deterrent includes a solution that will control these pests while giving your precious plants an added boost, and it will also put off mice, voles and squirrels.
Grazers G1 formula, which is based around the plant nutrient calcium, was developed as a mineral growth enhancer for crops, but it soon became clear that the plants that had been treated were being avoided by pests, so the manufacturer decided to market it as a natural pest control product too.
The solution makes the plant taste bitter to the animals and birds that would usually eat it, which means they leave it alone. As well as acting as a Rabbit, Pigeon and Deer Deterrent, the solution also enhances growth and strengthens the plant. So, by applying this product, you’re effectively helping the plant to help itself.
You need to anticipate the pests and spray the plants before damage is caused, repeating the process every six weeks.
Synthetic products can be very effective, but they pose a serious threat to the environment. They also threaten the future of the food chain. Chemical fertilisers, herbicides and pesticides poison our waters, our soils, other living creatures and our own bodies.
Grazers G1 formula is absorbed by the plant and grows with it. It lasts for up to six weeks after which it should be reapplied.
No. The main ingredient is a form of calcium, which is totally harmless to people, pets and the environment. Grazers G1 formula has been successfully used by farmers since 1999 and is safe to use on both edible and ornamental plants. If applying to vegetables or salad crops, it’s recommended that you wait a week before harvesting them as it may have a subtle effect on the taste.
There is loads of useful information available about damage caused by these pests. If rabbits are your issue, try this website or you can find out more about tackling deer here. If pigeons are attacking your plants, here are some useful tips.
Yes, lots! Take a look here! We can help you protect your plants and homes from all sorts of wildlife.

Great product- bought with the spray!!!

This product worked for me with deer. But you need to spray every 4 weeks and any new growth needs to be sprayed . You also need no rain for 24 hours after you spray. To keep using it is a lot of work but it is the only effective product i could find and i have tried many. We have bought it for a second year and it still seems to work for us. I have spend 100’s on other products but this one seems to be effective. But it is a lot of work spraying it.

I use this stuff as a deer repellent. It coats your flowers and plants with something they don’t like the taste of, and it doesn’t seem to harm the flowers. Only problem is that it is washed off by rain so you have to re-apply it after every rain shower, which is tedious. Also the deer tend to come into our garden in the hour or two after dawn so if it’s been raining overnight your garden is unprotected.

To keep deer and rabbits from eating my flowers and shrubs
peter fall –
excellent for keeping rabbits and deer off eating our roses and other tasty plants. Really works and lasts a good month before respraying required. Better than dried blood that we have used for ages.
Sorbus –
Bought this out of desperation as my beloved wisteria has been decimated by pigeons for the last 2 years.
I sprayed this stuff this year and they left it alone!! It is easy to use but this bottle was only enough for 2 sprayings.

It worked for first 5 weeks lots of small roses returned then after second application the deer ate all the roses again!! Just one has survived now.

did not work immediately had to buy second spray

Waiting for a foolproof deer and rabbit deterant still. This is a start but not perfect especially after the rain but touch wood i havnt had a sappling completly destroyed yet.. just the odd nibble. If there was a presurised spray canister that painted the sapling with that white paint they put on trees that would be mich better than this which has a short halflife.

Arrived promptly and seems to work as the rabbits leave me alone. Lost one star for trigger seal weeping in use.
Rebecca –
It’s working great so far. My pet bunny likes to eat all the plants in the garden so I gave this a go and he’s stopped snacking on the plants without being distracted from going near them.
Julia Kerr –
This appears to work but you have to make sure that new growth is sprayed especially after heavy rain. The only plant the rabbit ate after is was sprayed was an aquilega, but they grow back!

Seems to be deterring the pigeons

The flowers were being eaten by pigeons. I sprayed them and within a couple of weeks the difference was obvious. It works.

Seemed to keep them away from the plants but didnt keep them away from digging holes, guess it wouldnt though as its a taste thing and they dont dig with their tongues!
Mr Scott Braithwaite –
Bought to stop free range pet rabbit biting wooden decking. Have to respray after rain, but other wise stops him nibbling edges.

Well so far so good…the Pesky Nutkin with his mates Peter R and family don’t seem too keen on this.
Sadly we ordered this after most of our veg had been stripped and all other avenues explored..so we haven’t tested it fully.
