The Optimal Sheep Wool insulation is a medium density insulation suitable for walls, ceilings and floors. It can also be used for topping up existing insulation. It is thinner than the Premium and Comfort, coming in thicknesses of 50mm, 75mm and 100mm. It is made with a smoother surface on one side, a felted surface so to speak, which makes it easier to staple to walls and ceilings. It is also 100% moth-proof.

Raw density: 18kg/m3 | Thermal conductivity: 0.0385 W/mK

Campervan insulation

Delivery was very prompt, we have been using the wool to insulate our camper van conversion. Great product to handle and has many benefits compared to other artificial insulations

Great insulation, easy to work with and very soft.
The buying process was very easy and delivery was very quick. Couldn't be more happy. It cost a bit more than the other types of insulation but the positives of this insulation makes it worth it.

We installed sheeps wool under the boards of our suspended floor. It was necessary to remove the floor boards before putting in the vapour barrier, wool and DPM, so it can be a big job if you are tackling it for the first time. Because our house is over 100 years old the joist pitch doesn’t match modern standard dimensions (some didn’t even match the joist next to it!) so we had to cut the rolls into suitably sized segments. This was time consuming but with a decent pair of large scissors was easy to cut the rolls.
We added wool under our living room floor in December so the immediate difference to the warmth and comfort of the insulation was apparent. This August we completed the hallway and back room, the difference in room temperature, even in summer, is obvious.
I would recommend this product highly, it’s easy to use, work with and install all at a reasonable price.
