Each individual PetSnug wool pet cushion is made of natural locally sourced Herdwick sheep's wool, stuffed inside a naturally dyed cotton outer. The outer is naturally water resistant, meaning these cushions are easy care and wipeable. These pet cushions are filled to the brim with bouncy Herdwick wool, making them plump soft and comfortable - the perfect perch for your pet. All of the wool used inside these pet cushions has been sourced directly from the farm, with the farmer being paid a fair price for their wool and us organising the collection directly.
Every PetSnug natural wool cushion for pets is made from entirely natural materials. They are completely plastic, solvent and glue free - perfect if you're making environmentally pawsitive choices.
How will this wool pet cushion help me lower my pet's carbon pawprint?
All of our PetSnug extra wool cushions are made from completely natural materials. They are 0% plastic and contain no glues or solvents. The outer cover is made of naturally dyed completely organic water resistant cotton. Inside we've filled these wool cushions with locally sourced British Herdwick sheep's wool purchased directly from the farmer at a fair price. Each natural wool cushion is sewn using only high quality natural thread, every piece of material used to make this cushion is renewable, so you can rest assured you're getting a product made of truly natural, sustainable materials. Further to this, we're making sure to utilise only low-carbon production methods to make our wool pet cushions. We use careful handcrafting techniques, produce in small batches and use low energy methods of production - and ensure we make as little waste as possible. What size PetSnug wool pet cushion do I need?
Our wool pet cushions are incredibly multipurpose. Not only can they be purchased as extras or additional spare cushions to go alongside your PetSnug bed. They can be purchased for other standalone reasons too. Perhaps to sit upon a chair or counter top as a purrfect perch for your pet? The size you will need will depend upon what you're using it for after all.
If your purchasing one of our wool pet cushions as a replacement for the inner cushion to your PetSnug, it just needs to correspond to the size of our PetSnug outer. If your PetSnug is a small wool cat bed, you simply need a size small wool pet cushion. If you've purchased a large cat PetSnug or a PetSnug wool dog bed, you just need a size large cushion - as these beds have the same diameter. Simple!
But, if you're planning on using this wool pet cushion for something else, the measurement might come in handy - so here they are!
The diameters of our chunky wool pet cushions are as follows:
- Small - 36cm diameter (For the PetSnug small cat bed)
- Large 46 cm diameter (For the PetSnug large cat bed or PetSnug dog bed)
They are incredibly conforming and squashy, so they'll fit into all kinds of spaces. But, if you're purchasing a wool pad for a dog we'd perhaps encourage you to size up, simply because dogs tend to be a little bigger than our feline friends (except perhaps if you have a Maine Coon!).
