Whether you’re an outdoor enthusiast who is searching for the perfect walking boot inserts or someone who wants to make your slippers extra warm when it gets a little chilly, our wool insoles are guaranteed to leave your feet feeling warm and smelling fresh!

Using wool as a material for our Snug Feet Wool insoles is perfect as it means they are:

  • Odour resistant

  • Extra warm
  • ‘Bouncy’
  • Completely natural
  • Sustainable
  • Compostable after their long life

Buy Land Plant Trees

At the core of Chimney Sheep is our Community Interest Company, Buy Land Plant Trees (BLPT). For every purchase you make with us, 20% of the profit facilitates the planting of trees on agriculturally poor land in Cumbria.

We set up BLPT in 2019 as a ‘boots on the ground’ tree planting initiative. The company is run by us and the tree planting is done by us. We do it to help you and us to reduce our impact on the planet. The trees we plant reduce CO2 output as well as contribute to the reduction of flooding and the creation of habitats for wildlife.

BLPT isn’t a tick box exercise nor a distant and detached carbon offset company. In fact, this is as much part of our business as the products we sell and is an integral part of our ethos. We are big believers in the phrase ‘think globally, act locally’ and want to make a genuine difference

Perfect on stone flagged floors.

We live in an old house with stone flagged floors. The Herdwick insoles inside my felt slippers are perfect. Honestly, my feet have never been warmer in winter.

Good for keeping feet warm and comfortable

I was given a pair at Christmas 2022 which helped keep my feet warm in a pair of new shoes that didn't provide much warmth or cushioning. That worked a treat, but the shoes' heals failed (fixed for now) and some of the insoles got damaged. Also over time they grew thinner, so I have purchased another 2 pairs. The old insoles did not go to waste, I use them in a pair of trainers that have become a bit uncomfortable, but didn't have much space to accommodate brand new insoles which are quite thick.

Warm feet

I found the insoles easy to trim to required size. I have them inside my slippers and one other pair of shoes and they make a real difference to icy toes.

Nice and soft and warm and not itchy.

I purchaced another 4 pairs

Good for gardening boots

Bought to use in gardening boots. Warm feet are always a bonus when gardening in Winter months. Bit fiddly though to ensure cutting size is correct for my boots but otherwise good. Pity they don’t come in a full range of sizes.
