We love wool! And, so do dogs! Over the years we’ve heard plenty of tales about dogs running off with our wool products such as our garden felt and making a bed out of them. So we decided to make some wool products just for them. Introducing our natural wool crate liner – the perfect woolly companion to your dogs crate. We’ve made sure these crate liners have been crafted with sustainability in mind. Using only the highest quality natural sustainable materials, low carbon crafting methods and minimal waste small batch production, our dog mats have a wonderfully low carbon footprint and minimal impact on the environment – the perfect choice for when you’re wanting to lower your pooches carbon pawprint!

Add a little comfort to your dog cage with one of our natural felted wool crate liners, made with thick Herdwick wool felt. covered with a beautiful organic cotton water resistant cover. All the wool is sourced locally from farmers who are then paid a fair price for their product. Our cosy crate liners are the perfect solution for creating a sustainable warm safe environment inside your pups cage.

Our natural crate beds are covered in a tough water resistant organic cotton, they’re easy care, wipeable and machine washable. The wool filling is also naturally antibacterial, making it resistant to smells and breathable, making it an excellent choice for a crate mat your pup can lie on for hours whilst travelling, sleeping or just relaxing upon.

Our crate liners come in a range of colours and are available in the following sizes:

  • Small – 63cm x 50cm
  • Medium -80cm x 55cm
  • Large -103cm x 70cm

Due to variations in crate size depending on brand, our crate liners may not directly correspond to a particular crate size. So, we’d advise measuring the inside of your crate and picking the wool crate liner that is closest in measurement. Don’t worry if the wool crate bed is a little smaller or bigger than your dog cage internals. Wool is fantastically squashy, so it’ll conform brilliantly if the felted wool crate bed is a little bigger. Or, if the natural crate liner is a little smaller that’s not a problem either as you’ll still create a wonderfully comfy space even with a little gap at the edges.

Buy Land Plant Trees

At the core of Chimney Sheep is our Community Interest Company, Buy Land Plant Trees (BLPT). For every purchase you make with us, 20% of the profit facilitates the planting of trees on agriculturally poor land in Cumbria.

We set up BLPT in 2019 as a ‘boots on the ground’ tree planting initiative. The company is run by us and the tree planting is done by us. We do it to help you and us to reduce our impact on the planet. The trees we plant reduce CO2 output as well as contribute to the reduction of flooding and the creation of habitats for wildlife.

BLPT isn’t a tick box exercise nor a distant and detached carbon offset company. In fact, this is as much part of our business as the products we sell and is an integral part of our ethos. We are big believers in the phrase ‘think globally, act locally’ and want to make a genuine difference
